Fundraiser Opportunities

Over the years, we have enjoyed working with many different types of organizations in the spring, in the winter for poinsettias, or both.

1. A traditional spring plant sale – you create your own sales brochure from the price list we give you; you set your own prices and pre-sell your plants. We will deliver it all to you on a prearranged date in the spring.

2. Cash Cultivator Program – works like the popular scrip programs in the area – you can sell year around. Each “Cultivator” is worth $10.00. Your organization receives a 10% discount (so you pay $9.00 each). The Cultivators are sold on a pre-order basis and can be used in our florist and greenhouses just like cash with no expiration date.

3. Cash Cultivator Plus Program – this program works just like the one above in terms of the discount but if that Cultivator is used in our greenhouses for spring bedding plant purchases between the dates of April 15th and May 15th, your organization receives an extra 5%!

4. Mother's Day Sale - We offer 10” Impatiens Hanging Baskets as a pre-sell for delivery to one location the week of Mother’s Day (Monday – Saturday) Impatiens are offered in either a bright bold mix or a pastel mix.

Cash Cultivator Certificate Program Guidelines

• Your organization prepays $9.00 or $22.50 for the $10.00 or $25.00 certificate, allowing you to make 10% on each sale. You may order in advance any quantity and we will print the name of your organization onto the Cash Cultivators. A two day turnaround is most helpful to us when you order.

• Each Cash Cultivator is worth either $10.00 or $25.00. This certificate may be used in our floral shop or greenhouses. They spend just like cash at anytime of the year on IN-STORE purchases. IN-STORE purchases do not include custom work or any special orders. Cash Cultivators are to be used for Cash & Carry/Pay & Take purchases only – you may use cash, credit card or check to supplement any additional amount due. House Charge Accounts cannot be paid with Cash Cultivators.

• Help your group earn and extra 5% by spending your Cash Cultivators on spring bedding plants grown in our greenhouses from April 15th to May 15th. We will send your organization a check in June for the extra 5% earned.

• There is no expiration date on Cash Cultivators – they spend as if they are cash so the redeemer is responsible for paying the sales tax due. Change will be given back to the redeemer if the amount is less than $1.00.

Tours

During the months of February and March, we offer tours through our greenhouses for students and children’s organizations – preschool through grade 4. It is a wonderful opportunity for the children to see the real workings of a greenhouse. We tour the main greenhouses; we read a book; we sing a song and answer many questions from both the children and their parents.

The children then take a seedling and a pot back to their classroom to plant and watch grow. They will also bring home a picture to color and share with their parents. Depending on the age group, most tours are approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Group sizes are best at 10 –15 students but we can work with up to 20 children at a time if necessary.
